Job Description:

A leading energy technology company is seeking an Industrial Engineer II to drive process improvement initiatives and operational excellence. The role involves implementing enterprise standards, leading process optimization efforts, and ensuring seamless integration of new product introductions within operations.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead process improvements across the Order-to-Cash process (Plan, Source, Make, Deliver & Service).

  • Coordinate the launch of New Product Introductions (NPI) within operations.

  • Support facility transformation, technology transfer, and maintenance of production lines.

  • Implement policies and procedures to ensure long-term improvement success.

  • Apply demand-driven principles to enhance operational flexibility and efficiency.

  • Optimize product, material, and information flow to reduce costs.

  • Drive innovation and deploy engineering best practices.

  • Collaborate with shop floor personnel to improve manufacturing methods and controls.

  • Manage layouts, process definition, and equipment selection.



Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Industrial Technology

  • 3-5 years of experience in an engineering function





Additional Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and/or ProE)

  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills

  • Experience leading cross-functional projects

  • Knowledge of lean principles and process improvements

  • Ability to work in varied production environments


Physical Demands:

  • Regularly required to talk, hear, and use hands

  • Frequently required to stand and walk

  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds

  • Frequent computer-based work

  • Occasional travel required

What You'll Do: 

 

-          Lead and coordinate the successful launch of New Product Introductions (NPI) within operations. 

-          Contribute significantly to facility transformation, technology transfer, and ongoing maintenance of mixed-model production lines or value streams. 

-          Drive and ensure the success of process improvement initiatives by implementing policies, procedures, and thorough process documentation. 

-          Implement demand-driven principles and strategies to achieve operational excellence and long-range planning goals, emphasizing flexibility, speed, and responsiveness. 

-          Optimize product, material, and information flow to maximize efficiencies and minimize operational costs. 

-          Develop innovative solutions to improve business results, using proven tools, methodologies, and standards. 

-          Promote continuous improvement of manufacturing methods, systems, and controls by collaborating closely with shop floor personnel. 

-          Oversee area layouts, process definitions, and equipment justification, selection, and implementation. 

-          Lead and participate in the transformation of operations to align with long-term strategic objectives. 

 

What You Bring: 

 

Minimum Qualifications: 

-          Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Industrial Technology. 

-          5+ years of experience in an engineering function within a similar environment. 

 

Preferred Qualifications: 

-          Proficiency in CAD tools such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or ProE. 

-          Strong understanding of lean principles and process improvement methodologies. 

-          Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional projects and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced setting. 

-          Experience in high-mix, low-volume, and high-volume, low-mix production environments. 

-          Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and conflict resolution skills. 

-          Project Management Certification is a plus. 

 

Physical Requirements: 

-          Regularly required to talk, hear, stand, walk, and use hands for object manipulation. 

-          Occasionally required to stoop, bend, or reach above the shoulders. 

-          Must be able to occasionally lift up to 25–50 pounds. 

-          Frequent and continuous computer-based work requiring sitting, close vision, and focus adjustments. 

-          Occasional travel may be required.
