Join a mission-driven team in a high-impact strategic sales role focused on serving state government clients. As a Senior Account Executive, you’ll lead efforts to expand relationships, drive net new revenue, and support account retention across public sector accounts. This is not a transactional role — your success depends on deep engagement, long-term planning, and the ability to navigate complex sales cycles and procurement processes.
Key Responsibilities
New Sales & Strategic Growth
Prospect, cold call, and leverage lead generation strategies to acquire new state government accounts
Consistently meet/exceed monthly quotas and renewal goals
Represent the company in onboarding/discovery meetings to uncover further opportunities
Build and execute long-term territory/account growth plans
Account Support & Expansion
Collaborate with account managers and retention teams to support customer success
Provide strategic input during renewals and lifecycle moments
Deliver data-backed insights and strategic recommendations
Planning & Cross-Functional Execution
Navigate extended sales cycles and sophisticated procurement landscapes
Coordinate with marketing, product, and technical teams to align on customer solutions
Professionalism & Development
Stay current on product offerings and sales strategies through continuous training
Uphold professionalism, ethics, and accountability in all internal and external interactions
Qualifications
5+ years experience in B2B sales, with a strong emphasis on state/local government accounts
Background in strategic sales, complex deal cycles, and account-based planning
Proven ability to partner with retention teams and support large customer accounts
Strong communication, negotiation, and executive presence
Skilled in Salesforce, Microsoft Excel, and PowerPoint
Bachelor's Degree preferred (High School Diploma/GED required)
Must be 18+ and legally authorized to work in the U.S.
