Must-Have Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Microbiology, Public Health, or a related field

  2. Certification in Infection Control (CIC); must be obtained within 2 years if not already held

  3. Ability to analyze data and generate reports

Nice-to-Have Qualifications:

  1. At least 2 years of experience in infection prevention/control in a healthcare setting

  2. Strong knowledge of infection control principles and practices

  3. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Position Summary:

This position is not for a physician.

The Infection Prevention Program Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and evaluating the infection prevention and control program. This role includes conducting infection surveillance, analyzing data, reporting findings, and providing staff education to prevent and control infections across the organization.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain infection prevention and control policies and procedures

  • Conduct surveillance and report findings related to hospital-acquired infections

  • Analyze infection data to identify trends and improvement areas

  • Educate staff on infection prevention best practices and proper use of PPE

  • Collaborate in managing outbreaks and infection control incidents

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local infection control regulations

  • Contribute to infection control risk assessments

  • Conduct routine audits and inspections to ensure compliance

  • Remain up-to-date with current infection control research and practices

Reporting Structure:

Reports directly to the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO)

Education & Certification Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Microbiology, Public Health, or related field

  • Certification in Infection Control (CIC), or willingness to obtain within 2 years

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong infection control knowledge

  • Proficiency in data analysis and report writing

  • Analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities

  • Knowledge of HIPAA compliance standards

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively

This role functions as the CEO of an individual clinic, responsible for financial oversight, strategic growth, and leadership development. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in value-based care, operational management, and team leadership.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee care delivery quality, regulatory compliance, and adherence to policies and best practices.

  • Develop and lead the clinic management team to ensure efficient operations.

  • Collaborate with finance to develop and manage budgets, including hiring plans.

  • Experience with Value-Based Care (Highly Preferred).
